CSKHPKV is also called Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya University. It is an agricultural institution located in Himachal Pradesh state. It was established by Honorable Shri Shanta Kumar Ji when he was the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister.

It started to function on 1 November 1978. The institution is UGC recognized, and the Indian Council Of Agricultural Research also approves it. It is ranked 11th out of 75 in the Indian ICAR Universities category.

CSKHPKV has established numerous centres that are responsible for providing courses to students. The centres are the College of Agriculture, Basic Sciences, Home Science, and Vet and Animal Science.

There are six doctoral courses, 15 PG courses, and six UG courses at the centers. The courses offered include a MSC in Tea Husbandry and Technology, an MSC in Veterinary Animal Reproduction, a Ph.D. in Vegetable Science, as well as a MSc in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Students who want to clear BSc(Hons) in Agriculture should have an Intermediate/higher secondary/12th/Equivalent certificate with a minimum of 50%.
Students who want to pursue BVSc & AH must have selected Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, Physics, and English in their 12th standard. The minimum overall aggregate required is 50%.
To be eligible for MVSc, MSc, MSc Community Science, and Msc Agriculture, students must have a UG degree relevant to the field of study and from a recognized college or university.
Admission to Doctoral courses, BTech in Food Technology, BSc in Life Sciences, BSc (Hons) in Community Sconces, and BSc in Physical Sciences is based on marks from the last graduating level.
The university conducts a qualifying test for admission in BVSc & AH, MVSc, MSc Ag, and BSc(Hons) Agriculture.
CSKHPKV uses qualifying test marks to evaluate students for the final merit list.
The admission process is online and offline.
Allocation of seats will be based on a counseling session.
The university admission office has special provisions for OBC/ST/SC/in-service sections of up to 10% on the overall aggregate.

CSKHPKV Admission 2022

Students can get admission in this university through Merit-based for some particular subject such as B.Sc, Physical Sciences(Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics), B.Sc.Life Sciences(Botany, Zoology & Chemistry) and Doctoral Courses, etc.
Students will also get admission to the university through the Entrance test based on some courses such as B.V.Sc. & A.H., B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, M.Sc. Ag. and M.V.Sc. Programs. The entrance test will be conducted by the university.

CSKHPKV UG Admission

Students are admitted to UG courses based on their 12th grade grades and their results on an entrance exam. Students who completed the 12th grade with a grade point average of more than 55 percent from a government-recognized institution.

To be admitted to the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry programme, students must take the NEET Exam. They must also take the AIEEA Exam to be accepted to the B.Sc Honours in Agriculture programme. Candidates selected for admission will be listed on a merit list generated by the university based on the results of their required exams.
