Delhi nursery admission registration starts, check list of documents

On March 24, all Government Sarvodaya Vidyalayas will make available information about admission and available seats in the entry level class. There will be 40 seats available in each section.

The registration process for admission to Delhi Nursery, Kindergarten, and Class 1 for the academic year 2023-24 has begun under the supervision of the Directorate of Education (DoE) Delhi. On March 24, all Government Sarvodaya Vidyalayas will make available information about admission and available seats in the entry level class. There will be 40 seats available in each section.

Parents and guardians have until March 15 to submit application forms for their children’s admission to Preschool (Nursery), Pre-Primary (KG), and Class I. Parents should keep in mind that the application form for admission should be completed offline and dropped off at the drop boxes of nearby schools, along with the required documents.

Admission to government schools for Nursery, Kindergarten, and Class 1 is limited to residents of Delhi, with preference given to students who live within one kilometre of the school.

ADMISSION TO DELHI NURSERY 2023: These documents will be required for admission.

MCD or any local body may issue a date of birth certificate.

Registers for hospitals, nurses, and midwives

– Parents should record the child’s birth date in writing.

– A passport-sized photograph

– Certificate of Residency

Corrections to the application form can be made by parents.

Inform the parents that if there is an error in the form they are filling out, they will be given the opportunity to correct it. On March 18, the list of candidates who submitted an application form will be posted on the school notice boards. The applicants’ parents can visit the respective school during school hours on March 20 and 21 to correct the error in the form.

The names of the students chosen for admission will be posted on the school bulletin board on March 24 at 11 a.m. for the morning/general shift and 3 p.m. for the evening shift. Selected applicants will be required to go through the admissions process, which will begin on March 25th and end on March 31st. If there are any open seats between April 1 and April 5, the children on the waiting list will be given priority admission.

A child can enter nursery at the age of three, kindergarten at the age of four, and class one at the age of five. For more information, parents and guardians are encouraged to visit nearby government schools and Sarvodaya Vidyalayas.
