GATE 2023 admit card released, check important instructions and direct link

Along with the admit card, IIT Kanpur has also announced some important instructions which all the candidates must follow on the day of the exam.

GATE 2023 admit card has been issued. Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur has released the GATE admit card at gate.iitk.ac.in and can be downloaded through the candidate login tab on the website.

Instruction :

1- On the day of examination, all candidates must bring printout of GATE admit card along with original, valid photo ID proof. Make sure your photo is recognizable on photo ID. If not, get another. (Valid Photo ID: Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, Driving License).
2- GATE Admit Card will be considered valid only if both the photograph and signature are clear. To be sure, print the admit card on A4 size paper using a laser printer, preferably in colour.
3- Candidates must report at the examination venue at least 90 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the examination. They will not be allowed to login after 30 minutes of the commencement of the exam. Candidates can login 20 minutes before the commencement of the exam and start reading the instructions.
4- A virtual scientific calculator will be available on the computer screen during the exam, which can be used for numerical calculations. Personal calculators or any other electronic devices are not allowed. Candidates are not allowed to bring any chart/ table/ paper/ books/ sheet/ heavy jewelery in the examination hall.
5- A scribble pad will be provided to each candidate for rough work. Before using it, candidates must write their name and registration number on it. Candidates can keep only one scribble pad at any point of time. If the scribble pad is full, they may request another, after returning the first one to the invigilator. At the end of the examination, the remaining scribble pad should also be returned to the invigilator.
6- Candidates must bring their own pen, pencil, transparent water bottle and pocket size hand sanitizer. Candidates are not allowed to bring any other items other than these. If a candidate is found to be in possession of any prohibited item, his/her registration will be cancelled/banned from the examination and/or disciplinary action will be taken, which may also include ban from appearing in future examinations.
7- Candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination hall before the end of the examination.
8- If there are restrictions on movement in some areas, candidates can use GATE Admit Card as a pass.
