OPSC OCS Admit Card 2023: On October 15, 2023 (Sunday), the Odisha Public Service Commission will hold the Odisha Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination-2022 in Balasore, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Sambalpur. In compliance with 2022–23 Advertisement No. 17, this examination is being conducted.

Candidates who are preparing for this test should be aware that the admission cards will probably be available for downloading and printing from the official website – opsc.gov.in – on October 08, 2023.

Two papers make up the OCS (Preliminary) Examination-2022. Following General Studies II from 01:30 PM to 03:30 PM, General Studies I will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. There will be objective questions with multiple-choice answers on each piece of writing. There will be 80 questions in General Studies II and 100 in General Studies I.

The exam times will be extended for candidates in the PwD category by an extra 40 minutes for each sitting, bringing them from 10:00 AM to 12:40 PM and from 1:30 PM to 4:10 PM, respectively.

Exam Format

The OCS Exam’s preliminary phase is known as the Prelims. It is a screening test that is administered to whittle down the pool of applicants for the Main Examination. The Prelims Exam is an objective test with two papers:

General Studies and English Paper I: This exam gauges candidates’ general understanding of science, technology, history, geography, politics, and economics.

Generally Speaking Paper II: This exam gauges applicants’ familiarity with current events, legal issues, and other pertinent areas.

Each paper must receive 33% of the possible points to qualify for the preliminary examination. The Main Examination will be open to candidates who pass the Preliminary Examination.
