7 Maruti Models Dominate the List of 10 Best-Selling Cars in May: Last month, the passenger vehicle (PV) market recorded domestic sales of 334,800 units, a record for the month of May. Seven of Maruti Suzuki India’s models ranked among the month’s top ten best-selling automobiles, sustaining the company’s robust performance. Hyundai Motor India had one, while Tata Motors had two.

In May, Maruti’s Baleno, Swift, WagonR, Brezza, Eeco, Dzire, and Ertiga were among the ten most popular vehicles. The Hyundai mascot was a Creta. The Nexon and the Punch maintained their outstanding performance.

In May, 18,700 units of the Baleno were sold, making it the best-selling vehicle. It was followed by the Swift, with 17,300 units sold, and the WagonR, with 16,300 units sold. The Creta outsold the Nexon (14.449 units to 14.423). The Brezza came next, selling 13,398 units. Amazingly, 12,800 copies of Eeco were sold. Following the renowned van was the Dzire, which sold 11,300 units.

The Punch has sold 11,100 copies for the second consecutive week. With 10,500 units sold in May, the Ertiga completed out the top ten best-selling automobiles.

Maruti Suzuki recorded total sales of 3,38,612 units in FY 2023-24, compared to 3,12,072 units in FY 2022-23. MSI sold a total of 82,997 Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, S-Cross, and XL-6 utility vehicles in FY 2023-24, compared to 61,997 units in FY 2022-23.
