Toyota is conducting a voluntary recall for the owners of the cars on this list, and it will be free of charge. The business revealed three additional car recalls:

Gearbox issue (280,000)

  • Toyota Tundra,
  • Toyota Sequoia
  • Lexus LX 600
    • All manufactured between 2022 and 2024

Software issue (19,000)

  • Toyota Mirai
  • Lexus LS
  • Lexus LC
  • Lexus ES
    • All manufactured between 2023 and 2024

Safety issues (4,000)

  • Toyota Camry
  • Toyota Camry Hybrid

The car may not disengage completely when the transmission is moved to the neutral position. Regarding the gearbox problem, the automaker stated that the car can “inadvertently creep forward at a low speed when it is on a flat surface and no brakes are applied, leading to an increased risk of a crash.”

The company has recalled over a million vehicles because of airbag problems. Since May 2009, this defect has resulted in at least 26 fatalities in the United States.

How to determine whether a recall is imminent for your car

You can use your license plate number or Vehicle Identification Number to visit the Toyota recall website or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website to determine if you are affected if you don’t want to wait for Toyota to notify you in late April.
