On October 9, 2014, Aiden Markram made his debut for the Northerns cricket team against South Western Districts. The Northerns cricket squad for the 2015 Africa T20 Cup included him. Markram was a professional club player for Walkden in the Bolton Cricket League in 2016.

Markram was selected Domestic Rookie of the Year at Cricket South Africa’s annual awards in May 2017. In August of 2017, he was added to the Nelson Mandela Bay Stars squad for the inaugural T20 Global League season.
