Early Life
Cape Town is the birthplace and upbringing of Kiernan Jarryd Forbes. It wasn’t long after he and his friends started a hip-hop group named Entity before it became well-known in the music industry. They received a nomination for the KORA All Africa Music Awards in the Best African Hip-Hop category. Forbes did not let the group’s 2006 breakup to stop him from pursuing a career in music and continued his studies in sound engineering. He worked with a group of musicians, producing tracks for JR, Khuli Chana, and ProKid, among other hip-hop acts. He continued to work on his music, releasing three singles in 2009: “Mistakes,” “In My Walk,” and “I Do.”
