He co-founded the staffing firm Morgan & Banks and the HR business process outsourcing company Talent2 International. He was one of the ‘Sharks’ on the TV show Shark Tank.

Banks was born as the fifth of six brothers in Lambeth, London, England. His father was a staff sergeant in the British Army’s Medical Corps. His mother was born in Vienna and raised in Gdansk, Poland; she spoke six languages fluently.
Banks attended the local selective state grammar school and became involved in amateur dramatic productions following the family’s 1961 relocation to Chichester. Having attained ten ‘O’ Levels and four ‘A’ Levels, he was accepted to several UK institutions and chose London University for Science. Banks completed an additional year and a half of exams in Applied Biology before beginning a part-time job selling paintings door-to-door. He rapidly rose through the ranks of the company, becoming a supervisor in charge of ten teams.
