Early Life

Her parents, Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox, raised Lennox after she was born in a working-class area of Aberdeen, Scotland. When she was three years old, her parents saw her playing a toy piano.

She started taking piano lessons at age seven, and by the time she was seven, she had joined a local choir and was singing every Saturday morning.
