Anushka Sharma was born in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh on May 1, 1988 to Kumar Sharma and Ashima Sharma. Her father is a retired colonel, and her mother is a housewife. Karnesh Sharma, the older sibling of Anushka, served in the Merchant Navy and is now a film producer.
