Dutch record producer and D.J. Armin Jozef Jacobus Daniel van Buuren is a well-known figure thanks to his talents. On December 25, 1976, he was born in Leiden, the Netherlands. Van Burren, though, was raised at Koudekerk aan den Rijn. After completing his legal studies at Leiden University, he started working as a D.J. at Club Nexus after graduating from Stedelijk Gymnasium in Leiden. Van Buuren’s D.J. career took off, so he decided to put his legal degree on hold.

Career

Timeless Records and Van Buuren collaborated to release the EP “Push” in 1996. He founded Armind, his record label, in 1999 in collaboration with United Recordings. Van Buuren released his blend of vocal trance and progressive house music on the compilation album “A State of Trance” in 2000. In August 2001, Van Buuren released his third album, “In Motion.” His fourth album, “Transparency,” was released in 2002. He was given a residency at Glow in Washington, D.C., and he performed as a deejay all throughout North America that year.

Van Buuren collaborated with D.J. Seth Alan Fannin the following year, selling out gigs in the Netherlands that drew 20,000 attendees. In 2007, DJ Mag voted him to be the best DJ in the world. Van Buuren’s fifth studio album, “Intense,” was released in 2015. This album’s song “This is What It Feels Like” is a Grammy nominee for “Best Dance Recording.” During the inaugural “Formula 1” festival in Shanghai in 2017, Van Buuren took the stage sponsored by Heineken. His seventh studio album, “Balance,” was released in October 2019.
