Later that year, Universal Records signed him on the strength of the album’s favourable reception. In 2003, they produced “Tha Smokin’ Nephew,” his debut album with a major label. It debuted at number 48 on the Billboard 200, and five months after its release, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified it as gold. By March 2005, 531,000 copies had been sold in the United States.
Bryant was offered an on-air personality position by Wild 94.9, a Rhythmic Contemporary commercial radio station based in San Francisco, California, in December 2010. Bryant revealed shortly thereafter that he had signed a sponsorship agreement for Go Girl, a new energy drink for women, with a portion of the sales going to organisations supporting ovarian and breast cancer research for women. The rapper’s eighth studio album, “Unsung,” was published on December 17, 2013. Too Short, Miguel, and Problem appeared on the track, which was produced by DJ Rex, Happy Perez, Mickal, J. Lacy, and C-Ballin.
