Brad Douglas Paisley Biography: Brad Douglas Paisley, an employee of the West Virginia Department of Transportation, and Sandra Jean Paisley, an educator, were the parents of Douglas Paisley. His maternal grandfather gave him an instrument and instructed him on how to play when he was eight years old. His first composition, “Born on Christmas Day,” was composed when he was thirteen years old. Soon after, he began performing at club meetings and social gatherings. Hearing him perform, the program director of a West Virginia radio station requested his appearance on “Jamboree U.S.A.” Following an immediate introduction to the weekly program, he appeared in introductory roles for The Judds, George Jones, and others for the next eight years.

Grant-funded, he completed internships at A.S.C.A.P., Atlantic Records, and Fitzgerald-Hartley before enrolling at Belmont University. He formed extensive collaborations with Frank Rogers, Kelley Lovelace, and Chris DuBois, whom he subsequently met. A week after graduating, he was offered a composition agreement with E.M.I. Record Label. Under this agreement, he authored two songs: ‘Watching My Baby Not Come Back,’ which was published in 1999, and ‘Another You,’ which was released in 1997 for David Kersh. Following his début as a singer with ‘Who Needs Pictures,’ he amassed two number-one singles.

He received both the Academy of Country Music Award and the C.M.A. Horizon Award. Following his nomination for the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2001, he was inducted as the youngest member of the Grand Ole Opry. His performance at the Grand Ole Opry qualified him for a C.M.A. nomination for Vocal Event of the Year. He has been honored five times with the Top Male Vocalist of the Year award from the Academy of Country Music, in addition to three Grammys and two A.M.A.s. Paisley is the spouse of Kimberly Williams, with whom he shares two sons.

Brad Douglas Paisley Biography: INCREDIBLE FACTS

He has camera awareness. Prior to taking the stage, his final act consists of brushing his teeth.

His favorite sustenance: As a tour bus refreshment, he consumes cereal and milk (but only 2% milk).

Three-time Grammy recipient: Already a Grammy winner in his own right, he has been honored with three Grammys!

The untidy Brad: With the exception of his music, the West Virginia heartthrob has no interest in maintaining cleanliness.

I am not a huge admirer of alcohol. ‘Alcohol’ is his favorite tune, but he never consumes alcohol because he believes it is only beneficial to embarrass oneself.
