Regardless of your preferred film genre, you have likely seen Bradley Cooper perform at least once. His talents continue to astound millions of people, despite the fact that he has made himself difficult to overlook. Cooper was born in Abington Township, Pennsylvania, on January 5, 1975. His astrological sign is Capricorn, and he is half-Irish and half-Italian. Holly is his older sister; their parents are Charles Cooper and Gloria (née Campano) Cooper. His father inspired him to become an actor by exposing him to movies at a young age. Even though his parents first disapproved of his intention to pursue acting, they changed their minds after seeing him perform in a scene from “The Elephant Man,” one of the films his father had shown him. He relocated to New York City in 2000 and received a Master of Fine Arts in acting from the Actors Studio Drama School.

Cooper made his television debut in the 1999 blockbuster series “Sex in the City,” and his film debut in 2001’s “Wet Hot American Summer.” Throughout the early to mid-2000s, he continued to land parts in both film and television, in addition to acting on stage twice. His breakthrough came in 2009, when he played alongside Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms in the comedy film “The Hangover,” and he repeated his role for the film’s two sequels in 2011 and 2013, respectively. He continued to star in comedies, but also delved into and excelled in more serious roles in films such as “Silver Linings Playbook” (2012), “American Hustle” (2013), and “American Sniper” (2014), for which he was nominated for numerous prestigious awards, including the Academy Awards — one of the very few actors to receive three consecutive nominations!

Cooper joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2014, contributing his voice to Rocket Raccoon in the “Guardians Of The Galaxy” trilogy and also appears in “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Endgame.” He broadened his career by making his directorial debut with “A Star Is Born” (2018), which he also wrote, produced, and starred in alongside the renowned singer-songwriter Lady Gaga. However, he has also endured his share of hardships, including substance abuse at the beginning of his career and the death of his father from lung cancer in 2011, but he has learned to overcome these obstacles. Cooper has been sober since 2004 and has lent his support to a number of cancer-fighting groups. He is also a member of the Celebrity Champions of the Alzheimer’s Association.
