Brock Edward Lesnar was born in Webster, South Dakota, on July 12, 1977, to Stephanie Lesnar and Richard Lesnar. His older siblings are Chad and Troy, and his younger sister is Brandi. He attended Webster High School, where he played football. During his senior year, he competed in amateur wrestling and placed third at the state championships. Lesnar joined the World Wrestling Federation (W.W.F. ), which was renamed the World Wrestling Entertainment (W.W.E.) in 2002. In 2002, he defeated well-known wrestlers such as Bubba Ray Dudley and Rob Van Dam to win the King of the Ring Tournament. Then, at the age of 25, he defeated the undisputed champion of WWE, The Rock, to become the youngest WWE champion in history. In 2004, he gave up wrestling to pursue a career in the National Football League.

He played in numerous preseason games for the Minnesota Vikings despite not having played football since high school and sustaining an injury. Later, he was invited to participate in the NFL Europe, but he declined because he was unwilling to leave his country. He participated in New Japan Pro-Wrestling in 2005. He won the I.W.G.P. Heavyweight Championship, becoming one of the few American wrestlers to do so. In 2006, Lesnar announced his intention to join K-1’s mixed martial arts division, and he subsequently began training at the Minnesota Martial Arts Academy. Soon after signing a contract with K-1, he defeated Min-Soo Kim in his debut bout. After competing in UFC-77, a renowned mixed martial arts event, he became the new UFC heavyweight champion. After effectively defending the championship against a large number of wrestlers, he was ill for an extended period of time. Mononucleosis was ultimately determined to be the cause of his illness.

After relinquishing the title to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam after 504 days, he regained it in 2018 by defeating Braun Strowman. He claimed his third Universal Championship in July 2019 after cashing in his contract against Seth Rollins at ‘Extreme Rules.’ Brock Lesnar married Rena Greek in 2006.
