Ceaser Emanuel, who was born David Emanuel on 5 June 1979 in the Bronx, New York, United States, is of African-American descent. His astrological sign is Gemini.
After his father died of AIDS when Emanuel was a toddler, his mother, a former Jamaican model, raised him in New York City. His mother remarried Kenneth Simpson, and he and his siblings were raised by his mother, who launched a hair salon despite having no hairstyling experience.
He graduated from the High School of Graphic Communication and Arts in 1999 and then majored in graphic arts at Katharine Gibbs College. When Emanuel became a parent, he was still street-hustling. He left the streets and returned to school in an effort to be a decent father figure for his daughter. His bachelor’s degree in visual communication incorporates courses in graphic design. He began his career as an art director and graphic designer, but he was dissatisfied with these positions. Emanuel’s artistic aspirations were reignited when he observed his companion earn a great deal of money by tattooing people. He would create artwork for patrons, who would then commission a tattoo artist to imitate it on their bodies. Whoever recreated Emanuel’s artwork on humans would instruct him on every aspect of tattooing. After that, Emanuel was tattooing professionally within three months. He left his previous position and began working at a tattoo parlour. But he wasn’t satisfied with doing only gang-related tattoos; he aspired to become a household name in the tattoo industry. This led to the formation of Black Ink Tattoo Studio.
When Black Ink first launched, Emanuel’s friend was among the first employees. Emanuel observed that his former colleague was not only producing significant works of art, but also tattooing a number of renowned individuals. Then, Emanuel joined the Black Ink Tattoo Studio, where he remained even after other artists left for greater opportunities. With only Emanuel and the original owner of Black Ink remaining, the business started over. After employing new artists, they began to expand. The appearance of Emanuel in a performance with the rapper Cory Gunz attracted the attention of television producers. After much persuasion, Emanuel agreed to star in the new programme “Black Ink Crew” on VH1. The difficulty stemmed from the fact that Emanuel’s boss had lost money by signing up for the programme.
In 2013, when the first episode of “Black Ink Crew” broadcast, Emanuel and his artists were on the verge of eviction! In 2011, Emanuel took over the establishment and turned Black Ink into a legitimate business with the assistance of his crew. His sister Tiffany Winter also worked in the store during the second season. As Emanuel grows Black Ink, the programme follows his past and present relationships with his employees. Emanuel established Black Ink as a lifestyle brand that includes an apparel line and a magazine. He is in the midst of establishing his fourth studio in New Orleans this year.
