Eunice Dwumfour Biography: Cause of Death, Family Details

In their first public statements since Eunic Dwumfour's murder on February 1, her parents and spouse stated that detectives have barely communicated with them about the case.

Eunice Dwumfour Biography: Wednesday, after nearly two months have passed without an arrest, the family of the New Jersey councilwoman who was mortally shot outside her Sayreville home demanded explanations.

In their first public statements since Eunic Dwumfour’s murder on February 1, her parents and spouse stated that detectives have barely communicated with them about the case.

Her mother, Mary Dwumfour, stated at a press conference held at Sayreville Borough Hall, “The only thing I want to say is that I demand justice for my daughter.”

The 30-year-old Republican councilwoman was shot and murdered in her vehicle while her 12-year-old daughter was inside.

A New Jersey councilwoman was shot multiple times and pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the prosecution.

Weeks after the incident, officials have not disclosed whether they have identified a suspect or a motive, despite claims from witnesses that they saw a man in all black escaping the scene.

Eunice Dwumfour Biography

As one of the most prominent councilwomen, internet users are anxious to learn more about Eunice Dwumfour’s Wikipedia page.

From 1993 to 2023, Republican Eunice Dwumfour served on the Sayreville Borough Council. In Newark, New Jersey, she was born to Ghanaian immigrants.

Prior to marrying a Nigerian pastor, she worked as an IT business consultant in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area and as the director of congregations for Champions Royal Assembly NA.

Akwue, who in November wed Councilwoman Eunice, was in Nigeria when his cherished wife was mercilessly murdered.

Together with fellow African Christian Onuha, she graduated from William Paterson University in 2017 and was elected to the Sayreville council in 2021.

Councilwoman Eunice, who had a profound Christian faith, was murdered in her vehicle in 2023 in a shocking and unresolved crime.

The father of Dwumfour expressed his displeasure with the police’s secrecy regarding the investigation into their daughter’s murder, while her spouse expressed his hope that they would soon receive justice.

Further information and details about Eunice Dwumfour are not made public to secure her privacy.

Eunice Dwumfour’s cause of death

On February 1, 2023, Dwumfour was discovered deceased in her white Nissan outside of her Camelot at the La Mer apartment complex in Sayreville.

She had numerous gunshot wounds, according to police who spoke with ABC 7. She was shot for unknown reasons, but authorities believe she was the intended target; she was pronounced deceased at the scene.

She was a wonderful companion and a God-fearing woman, said detective Juan Rodriguez and pastor Dr. Nelia Rodriguez in a joint statement.

Since Dwumfour’s gruesome murder, her family has only spoken with detectives twice and has avoided asking them why their daughter was murdered.

Her family is perplexed as to why the Newark native, who was recently married and had volunteered as an EMT and a minister, would have been the target.

A family counsel asserted that investigators have not indicated that they have no leads, nor have they stated that they have leads.

Eunice Dwumfour Family

Since Eunice’s death, the family of a murdered New Jersey councilwoman has made its first public statement.

The family was present at Sayreville Borough Hall with their pastor, their attorney, and the spouse of their daughter. This location is near to the council seat where Dwumfour served.

Prince Dwumfour, Eunice’s father, stated, “I am here today to share our message with everyone.” Our daughter, Eunice, was a very, very good person who never had a problem with anyone, according to Eunice’s mother.

Seven weeks after Dwumfour’s murder, the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office has not made an arrest or disclosed many details about the investigation.

The family desires that the borough’s first African-American elected official be remembered for her work as a councilwoman, not as a homicide victim.
