George W. Bush Birthday

George W. Bush is one of the most well-known and influential presidents in American history. In terms of domestic and foreign policy, he has made numerous significant contributions to a broad spectrum of current American legislation. Bush was born in New Haven, Connecticut, on July 6, 1946. His constellation is Cancer. On his father’s side, a lengthy line of politicians can be traced. His father, George H.W. Bush, was also president of the United States, and his ancestor, Prescott Bush, was a Connecticut senator. The political career of his family inspired him to pursue a political career, but only after attending college, entering the military, and working in business.

Bush participated in baseball, rugby, and even cheerleading while attending high school and college. In 1968, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in history from Yale, an Ivy League institution. In 1975, after attending Yale, he earned a Master of Business Administration from another Ivy League institution, Harvard. He is the only president in American history to have earned an MBA. After completing his studies at Harvard, he enlisted in the Texas National Air Guard. Six years later, in 1974, he departed the Montgomery, Alabama Air Force Reserve. He then entered the business world for nearly two decades, founding an energy exploration company and then managing the Texas Rangers baseball team.

In the 1980s, he entered the realm of politics, assisting his father’s presidential and reelection campaigns in the early 1990s. He entered politics in the mid-1990s, and in 1995 he was elected governor of Texas. He served in this capacity until 2000, when he was elected president of the United States. During his first tenure as president, he responded to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the World Trade Centre (also known as the Twin Towers) by implementing a much more authoritative foreign policy that launched the ‘war on terrorism.’ In 2004, despite varied reactions to his policies, he was re-elected to a second term. He departed the White House at the conclusion of his second term in 2009, after Barack Obama defeated John McCain in the presidential election. Since then, he has been involved in both domestic and international affairs while maintaining a low profile.
