In March 2016, he signed up for the social media site musical.ly. After their success with musical.ly, Mills and his brother released their debut single, “One More Day in Love,” in December 2016. The original song “Stuck on the Ceiling” and their rendition of The Vamps’ “Words” were published in October and November of 2017, respectively. A version of D.J. Snake and Justin Bieber’s song “Let Me Love You” was released in January of that same year. In December 2017, Mills and his brother also released “I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday,” their debut Christmas tune.

In 2020, Mills and his twin brother had a busy year. Harvey Mills had announced earlier that year that he would be joining Jordan Banjo, Perri Keily, and Holly H. as co-hosts of Nickelodeon Slimefest 2021. He hosted a 24-hour live stream in April 2020 to raise around £7,000 for the Sebastian’s Action Trust and the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. Harvey Mills revealed in late 2020 that he will be releasing a new single called “Worry a Little Less” with Frtyfve Records and embarking on a 10-date tour in the United Kingdom in August 2021 under the name This is Not a Phase. He and his brother once more collaborated on additional singles under the same label the next year, in 2021, with the releases of “Lonely” and “She Moves in Her Own Way.”
