Ish Sodhi Career
On October 9, 2013, he made his Test debut against Bangladesh in Chattogram. He allowed more than 100 runs in his first at bat. In each of his two innings, he scored 23 runs and returned bowling figures of 3/169. Both teams scored close to 500 runs in their respective first innings before the match terminated in a draw.
Sodhi debuted in a Twenty20 International on 5 July 2014 against West Indies at Windsor Park, Roseau, Dominica. The contest was reduced to 18 overs per side due to rain. Windies were unable to score more than 132 runs while he took 1/35 in three overs. At the conclusion of their 15 overs, New Zealand was ahead of the D/L par score and emerged victorious.
Sodhi made his ODI debut on August 2, 2015 against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club in Harare, nearly 2 years after his Test debut. New Zealand scored 303 runs in their allotted 50 overs. Club Career
Since 2012, he has played for the Northern Districts in the Plunket Shield, New Zealand’s premier competition. He has claimed 201 wickets for the team thus far. With 36 wickets, he is the leading wicket-taker in the 2018-19 season.
Sodhi played for the Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League in 2017-18. He claimed nine wickets in three games. He has only participated in the Australian T20 division for one season.
In the 2017 County Cricket Championship, he signed with Nottinghamshire and remains a member of their squad. In the 2018 season, the 26-year-old made his IPL début for the Rajasthan Royals.
