We would like to recognise him as the rising icon he has become.

Jason Momoa Birthday

Momoa was born in Honolulu and reared in Norwalk, Lowa by his mother. After graduating from secondary school, Momoa returned to Hawaii and enrolled at the University of Hawaii. His modelling career began when Takeo Kobayashi, an international fashion designer, spotted him and launched him into the spotlight. Momoa was named “Hawaii’s Model of the Year” in 1999 and walked the runway for Louis Vuitton at the Governor’s Fashion Show due to his good features and sculpted physique.

Then, Momoa shifted his focus to acting, and in 1999 he auditioned for the main role on the international smash hit television series “Baywatch.” He was chosen from over one thousand other actors to portray the role of Jason Loane for two seasons. After the show ended in 2001, Momoa travelled extensively around the globe, including a trip to Tibet where he discovered Buddhism. Later, Momoa relocated to Los Angeles in pursuit of an acting vocation. His first two television movie roles, “Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding” (2003) and “Tempted” (2003), kept him in front of the camera until his next series role, “North Shore,” in 2004. When “North Shore” ended after only 20 episodes, Momoa was offered a much superior series: “Stargate: Atlantis.” In multiple seasons of the popular science-fiction series, Momoa’s performance as Ronan Dex propelled him to the next level of prominence.

During this time, Momoa was also involved in an altercation in a Los Angeles bar where a patron shattered glass over his face, requiring 140 sutures and leaving him with a scar over his left eye. After that, the scar became something of a trademark for Momoa, and it helped him land his next role, which propelled his career to new heights. In April 2011, HBO debuted a new drama titled “Game of Thrones,” starring Momoa as Khal Drogo, the Dothraki king. Aquaman made his début in the 2016 film “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” following the announcement that Momoa would be joining the superhero brotherhood on the big screen. In 2017, he starred alongside fellow DC Comics titans Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman in “Justice League.” However, it was his solo film “Aquaman,” released in late 2018, that propelled Momoa to fame.

Momoa was rumoured to have wed actress Lisa Bonet in 2007, but they did not tie the knot until October 2017. Son Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha Momoa and daughter Lola Iolani Momoa are the couple’s offspring. In 2019, Momoa announced that he would collaborate with the Ball Corporation to develop an entirely new line of tinned water. In a video release, the actor emphasised the significance of transitioning from plastic bottled water to recyclable aluminium cans by shaving his trademark beard.
