JJ Watt Birthday

Born in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, on March 22, 1989, to parents Connie and John Watt, Justin James Watt’s fate was predetermined. Derek and T.J. Watt, his junior brothers, both appear to have followed in his footsteps by becoming professional football players. Watt’s love and enthusiasm for sports began at a young age, but he was compelled to give up hockey at the age of 13 due to his family’s inability to afford the necessary equipment. In addition to football, he participated in basketball, baseball, and track and field during his tenure in high school. In 2007, he set a new school record in shot put and claimed the state championship.

After signing a $11.24 million contract with the Texans, Watt’s football career skyrocketed, and he won numerous accolades despite suffering numerous injuries. In his rookie season, he recorded his first multi-sack game against the Jacksonville Jaguars and garnered three awards. Two years later, after signing an extended $100 million contract with the Texans, he received a $30.9 million incentive, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL at the time. He suffered a herniated disc in his back in 2016, but he recovered. Later in 2018, he fractured the tibial plateau in his left leg and was forced to miss the remainder of the season.

Watt has received nothing but positive news since the year 2020, and signing a $28 million, $23 million guaranteed contract with the Arizona Cardinals in 2021 was the least of it. Watt and professional soccer player Kealia Ohai wed in the Bahamas in the previous year, 2020.
