Joey McIntyre Biography:

Early Life

Joey McIntyre, whose real name is Joseph Mulrey McIntyre, was born on December 31, 1972. He is the youngest of nine siblings and was born close to Boston, Massachusetts! Having grown up in such a big family, McIntyre was always self-assured and got along with everyone. McIntyre was first introduced to the entertainment industry at a very young age because his mother was an actor in a small theater.

The thought of taking the stage fascinated him. He signed up for the community theater’s “Oliver!” play. For the young McIntyre, it was love at first sight, and he decided then that he wanted to pursue a career in entertainment. Maurice Starr, who was searching for gifted vocalists to join his new group, New Kids on the Block, noticed him. At the age of twelve, McIntyre joined this organization in 1984, making him the newest member.

Career

The band’s early years did not go as expected, and they did not have any hits. But, the young band’s record company, Columbia Records, recognized the potential and offered them an opportunity to hone their skills and produce additional music. They accomplished a great deal this time, and by 1988, they had gained widespread recognition. Sadly, outside forces would have an impact on the band in the ensuing years, and McIntyre soon began to feel as though he should pursue other endeavors.

He went back to acting in 1995 and was cast in the lead role of “The Fantasticks.” Despite enjoying the process of shooting the movie, he quickly went back to recording music, but with a more pop aesthetic. He was required to independently distribute the songs he produced and post the music to his website. After it was a huge hit, he signed with C2 Records and put out the album “Stay The Same” in 1999.

McIntyre returned to acting in 2000, landing a teacher’s job on the hit series “Boston Public.” He wed Barrett Williams in 2003, and they remain wed to this day. Together, the couple has three gorgeous kids. Over his career, McIntyre has achieved a great deal of success and established himself as a well-known figure in the entertainment sector worldwide. We are forward to follow this artist and actor’s future endeavors!
