On December 17, 1972, John Abraham was born into a middle-class family of mixed ethnicity and religion in Bombay, Maharashtra (now known as Mumbai). He is a major star in the Indian film industry. Abraham John, his father, is a Kerala-born Syrian Christian. Firoza Irani, his mother, is a Zoroastrian from the Parsi community in India.
