Juliana Morehouse Biography: Morehouse was engaged but, as she says contestants routinely do, she was putting the wedding off until after the Miss Maine pageant. Because if she won Miss USA eligibility, she desired to continue. She planned the wedding with the understanding that everything would be postponed if she were to win.

When she learned that her pageant aspirations could come true even after she was married, she and her 17-year-old boyfriend Taylor Reed Locklear became husband and wife. She wore her sash and a light-up headdress to the April reception.

R’Bonney Gabriel was formerly Miss Texas USA 2022 and Miss USA 2022, but she was crowned Miss Universe 2022 and passed the reign of Miss USA to Romano.

Morehouse is the first Miss Maine in Dr. Anne Jakrajutatip’s ownership of Miss Universe. The New ME Queen Juliana Morehouse is the 72nd contestant for Miss USA 2023 and the fifth contestant for the Miss USA 2023 class.

She is pursuing two master’s degrees in theology and mental health counseling in order to assist individuals in leading meaningful lives. Julianna earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the College of Charleston. She was on the Dean’s and President’s Lists and a member of Lambda Pi Eta, the national communication honor society. She has discussed contemporary culture as an on-air contributor.

Juliana Morehouse Biography: Juliana Morehouse recently stated, “November is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month. My grandmother and aunt both had the disease and resided with us during a portion of their respective illnesses. Memory loss is NOT a normal aspect of aging, and Alzheimer’s is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States. I enjoy working with the Alzheimer’s Association in Maine to educate the public about Alzheimer’s, its prevention, and ongoing efforts to discover a cure.

Juliana’s desire to discover a cure for Alzheimer’s Disease was inspired by her familial ties to the disease. She educates the community about Alzheimer’s disease and how to prevent it in her role as educator. Julianna traveled to Capitol Hill to advocate for access to FDA-approved novel medications.

“I’ve dreamed of getting married for a lot of my life, and I’ve dreamed of competing at Miss USA for a lot of my life,” Morehouse said. “I never thought doing the two at the same time would be possible.”

“I feel really honored to be the first to do both,” she added. “And it just excites me because, in a lot of ways, there’s an attack on marriage in our culture. And I think marriage is a wonderful institution and it can be a really positive life choice for a lot of women.”

After MUO prompted a significant rule change, Juliana is the first married woman to compete in Miss USA. Her April wedding was featured in Magazine exclusively. She believes that removing this barrier will encourage women to pursue their goals.
