As a lyricist, Chandrabose has received multiple accolades, including two Nandi Awards, two Filmfare Awards, and three SIIMA Awards. The composition “Naatu Naatu” from the film RRR (2022) earned him an Oscar and a Golden Globe.

Chandrabose was born in the village of Challagariga in the Warangal district of Andhra Pradesh (currently Bhupalpally district in Telangana). He graduated from secondary school in the same community and is the youngest of four siblings.
