In 2007, McGrath landed her first acting role in the Irish film “Damage.” In 2008, she also appeared in “Eden,” “The Roaring Twenties,” and “Freakdog.”
In 2008, she was cast as Morgana in “Merlin,” a part that served as her breakthrough. In 2009, McGrath portrayed a young Princess Margaret in “The Queen,” a documentary in which she starred. She also appeared in the comedy-drama film “A Princess for Christmas,” starring Roger Moore, and the science-fiction blockbuster “Jurassic World,” in which she played a supporting role.
McGrath has been in numerous television programmes, such as “The Tudors,” “Labyrinth,” “Dates,” “Dracula,” “Slasher,” and “Supergirl,” among others. She has also appeared in “Buttons,” “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword,” “The Throwaways,” “Leading Lady,” “W.E.,” and “Pebble.”
McGrath maintains the most of her private life private, and she is not even on social media. 2007 marked the end of her love connection with Jonathan Meyers. She is presently seeing her longtime lover, Colin Morgan, with whom she co-starred in “Merlin.” Since 2010, when they met on site, they have been in a relationship.
