Kenny Chesney Biography: Kenny Chesney is an American country music performer, songwriter, and record producer who was born on March 26, 1968. His career began in 1994 with the publication of his debut album, “In My Wildest Dreams.” He has presently released 19 hit studio albums. Twelve of these albums were awarded gold certification, while two were awarded platinum certification. He has sold over 30 million albums worldwide. In addition, over forty of Chesney’s singles have reached the top ten of the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart. He has also participated in multiple sold-out musical tours. In 2015, “The Big Revival Tour” attracted over one million spectators and grossed $114,094,584 from ticket sales. Between 2005 and 2009, and again in 2011, Chesney won the Billboard Touring Award for Top Package Tour five years in a row. Chesney attended and graduated from Gibbs High School in 1986. In the same year, his mother gave him his first guitar as a Christmas present. Soon thereafter, he taught himself to play the instrument. Then, he attended East Tennessee State University to study advertising.

In 1989, he independently recorded and released a musical album. The album sold over one thousand copies, and he purchased a new guitar with the proceeds. 1990 marked Chesney’s graduation from East Tennessee State University. He then moved to Nashville, where he performed in local venues and became The Turf’s resident singer. In 1994, Capricorn Records issued his debut album, “My Wildest Dream.” In 1999, he released his debut platinum-selling album, “Everywhere We Go.” It included country hits such as “How Forever Feels,” “You Had Me From Hello,” “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy,” “What I Need to Do,” etc.

Chesney released his compilation album “Greatest Hits” on September 26, 2000. In 2001, he embarked on the “Greatest Hits Tour” to promote this album. It was his first tour as a musician. In 2006, he released his debut live album titled “Live Those Songs Again.” It contains live renditions of fifteen of his compositions. During this time, he also embarked on The Road and the Radio Tour. Chesney released a new album titled “Hemingway Whiskey” in 2010. On May 9, 2005, Chesney married actress Renée Zellweger. The marriage, however, was short-lived; the couple divorced after four months. Currently, he is in a committed relationship with Mary Nolan.
