She had been taking dance courses for around seven years to upgrade her skills, but on occasion she had to deal with severe financial issues that nearly caused her to stop. Fortunately, this never materialised, and as a result of her efforts, she received a dance degree from Sejong University.
Chung Ha made her solo debut in 2017 while working for MNH Entertainment, after collaborating on various projects with the girl group I.O.I. Before her debut, she released a few songs and tracks in 2017, including “Week,” “Hands on Me,” and “Why Don’t You Know,” among others. In October 2021, Chung Ha was named as a member of the Green Noble Club, which is comprised of contributors who have made contributions totaling at least 100 million won to the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation. Chung Ha has also engaged in some humanitarian activities.
