Klay Thompson Biography:  Klay Alexander Thompson, born February 8, 1990, is a professional basketball player for the United States. The Golden State Warriors are his National Basketball Association (NBA) team. He was twice named to the Pac-10’s first team all-conference and is the son of former NBA player Mychal Thompson. The Warriors selected Thompson with the eleventh overall pick in the first round of the 2011 NBA Draft. In 2014, he and his teammate Stephen Curry set an NBA record by combining for 484 three-pointers.

Klay Alexander Thompson was born on February 8, 1990 in Los Angeles. His parents are Mychal Thompson and Julie Thompson. His father was an NBA star, while his mother was a college volleyball player. His family moved to Oregon when he was two years old. His parents raised him and his siblings in the Catholic faith. Klay attended Santa Margarita Catholic High School in 2008, after the Thompsons relocated to California. During his junior year, he was selected to the second team of “All-Area.”

Thompson entered the 2011 NBA Draft following his junior year. He was chosen eleventh overall by the “Golden State Warriors.” At the conclusion of his rookie year, Thompson was selected to the “NBA All-Rookie Team.”

In 2014, Thompson extended his contract with the Warriors by four years. In a 126–101 victory over the Sacramento Kings on January 23, 2015, he recorded a career-high 52 points on 11 three-pointers. He holds the NBA record for single-quarter scoring with 37 points. On March 8, 2015, against the Los Angeles Clippers, Thompson made three three-pointers to surpass Steve Kerr (726) on the NBA’s all-time list. Thompson scored a playoff career-high 34 points in Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Later, Golden State defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in six games to win the NBA Championship, ending their 40-year title drought. Since then, they have won a total of three championships, including back-to-back titles in 2017 and 2018. Thompson was an NBA player.

Thompson’s relationship with his ex-girlfriend Laura Harrier has been intermittent. However, there is no confirmation that they are reunited officially.
