She is best known for her 2019 hip-hop album “Cuz, I Love You,” which features the tracks “Juice,” “Rumours (featuring Cardi B),” and “Tempo” with Missy Elliot. In all of her songs, Lizzo addresses body positivity and promotes self-love. Lizzo has garnered numerous awards for her music, including “Breakthrough Artist of the Year” at the 2019 Apple Music Awards and multiple Grammys in 2020.

After establishing a small musical group called Conrow Clique with her friends at the age of 14, she was given the nickname ‘Lizzo’. Lizzo studied classical flute at the University of Houston, and her father passed away at age 21. After his death, she relocated to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she spent a year living in her vehicle while attempting to break into the music industry. She performed with numerous groups and duos over the course of her career, establishing the electro soul-pop duo Lizzo and the Larva Ink and assisting in the formation of the all-female rap and R&B group The Chalice. The Chalice released their debut album in 2012, which became prominent locally.

Lizzo focused on her 2013 solo hip hop debut album, “Lizzobangers,” after the publication of her previous album. In the autumn of 2013, Lizzo toured the United States and the United Kingdom and went on to produce many more albums, including her most popular album, “Cuz, I Love You.” Her performances and songwriting skills have garnered her a total of fourteen accolades.
