Lorde curated the track list for the 2013 “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” soundtrack and performed four tracks, including a tribute of “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” by Tears for Fears, on the 2014 “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1” soundtrack. In June 2017, Lorde introduced her second studio album, “Melodrama,” which featured the number-one single “Green Light” on the New Zealand music listings. However, she attributes her primary influence on her composition to her mother. A number of authors, including Sylvia Plath, Tobias Wolff, Kurt Vonnegut, and Walt Whitman, have also influenced her.
