Early Life
Manjari was born on 17 April 1986 in Thiruvananthapuram to Malayali parents Babu Rajendran and Dr. Latha. Her ancestors are from Kannur, although she was raised in Muscat. In the Sultanate of Oman, she graduated from Indian School Al Wadi Al Kabir. She has a younger sibling whose name is Madhuri.
The mother of Manjari insisted that her daughter study music. Manjari began studying Carnatic classical music at age 5. As she matured, her interest in Hindustani Classical grew. She began studying Hindustani light music and semi-classical music with Ramakrishnan, a music instructor of Rajasthani descent. Then, at the age of 14, she began studying Hindustani classical music with the renowned Pakistani musician Ustad Khalid Anvar Jan of Lahore. Since then, he has served as a guiding force for her. He gave her the conviction and focus to sing. Her guru is a great admirer of Roshanara Begum, and they adhere to the Kirana Gharana. She also studied with Pandit Ramesh Jule of the Kirana Gharana in Mumbai. She believes Hindustani classical music is beneficial for the voice. Manjari Career
Ilaiyaraaja introduced Manjari to the realm of film music in the Sathyan Anthikad film ‘Achuvinte Amma’. She sang two songs in the film, a duet with Dr K.J. Yesudas titled “Swasathin Thalam” and a solo titled “Tamarakuruvikku.” She has collaborated with Ramesh Narayan, Ilayaraaja, M. G. Radhakrishnan, Kaithapram Viswanathan, Vidyasagar, M. Jayachandran, Ouseppachan, Mohan Sithara, the late Raveendran Master, and Johnson Master since her debut. She has also sung on albums such as Mazhayil Aaro Oral by Balabhaskar. She has appeared in over 300 Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu films and several albums. Under the banner “Soorya,” Manjari has performed Hindustani Classical concerts in India and around the world since 2004. Manjari also rose to prominence as a Ghazal singer. She performed an exclusive Ghazal programme on ‘Media One TV’ entitled ‘Khayal’ that featured popular Ghazals from the past.
The first time was in 2004 for the song Mukilin Makale from the film Makalku, and the second time was in 2008 for the song Mullulla Murikkinmel from the film Vilapangalkappuram. Manjari is a performer and playback vocalist. She has established her band for Ghazal concerts and performs in India and abroad at various locations. Manjari continues to study Hindustani classical music with Pandit Ramesh Julé of the Kirana Gharana.

Manjari is the daughter of Dr Latha and Babu Rajendran, and she has a younger sibling named Madhuri. She is a graduate of the Indian School in Al Wadi Al Kabir, Sultanate of Oman.
Singles
2014 saw the publication of Manjari’s debut Hindi single, titled ‘Aiy Aiy Yaa’ by Crescendo Music. Santosh Nair composes the lyrics for Alok Jha. The video was filmed in Dubai’s exotic locales.
In 2015, Manjari released a Malayalam single titled ‘Anuragam’ that was composed and performed by the artist. She also appeared in the VK Prakash-directed music video filmed in Munnar.
She has also performed the theme tunes for several Malayalam television series, including Swami Ayyapan, Krishnakripasagaram, and Sreekrishnaleela.
On 22 September 2020, Manjari released her very first original Ghazal titled “Ab Etbaar Nahi.” This musical, written by Moid Rasheedi and based on her composition, garnered millions of hearts on its first day of release.
