MattyB grew raised in a Christian home in Duluth, Georgia, with his four siblings: Blake Jr., John Michael, Joshua, and Sarah Grace. He graduated from a local high school in Duluth and then enrolled in a local university in Georgia, where he plans to graduate in the near future.

His fascination and passion for music and singing began when he was a child, so it is not surprising that he went on to make a career out of it. In June 2010, he released his first song with original lyrics, a remix of ‘I Believe in You,’ although his first single available for purchase was the remix of ‘Just the Way You Are.’ Later, in August 2010, it was re-released with Tyler Ward. The music video for “That’s the Way” was on the Billboard Social 50 chart in 2012. This was a tremendous opportunity for him, and his social media following had increased significantly since 2010. In August of 2014, his YouTube channel received more than one billion views.

Outside the Lines, MattyB’s first EP, was released in August 2015 and premiered on his YouTube channel, where he had previously posted over 90 additional cover songs and 20 original songs. The EP consists of four unique tracks. In 2016, he and writer Travis Thrasher collaborated on a memoir titled “That’s a Rap.” Throughout the years, he has been on numerous television programmes, including “The Wendy Williams Show,” “Today,” “WWE,” “Dr. Phil,” and “The Queen Latifah Show.”
