She has narrated numerous children’s books, including “Brae Irene,” “Spinky Sulks,” and “The One and Only Shrek.” In addition to being the spokesperson for the National Women’s History Museum, she has also established two scholarships for University of Massachusetts students. She was in a three-year relationship with actor John Cazale, who passed away in March 1978 from lung maladies. She subsequently wed sculptor Don Gummer; the couple has four children.
