With the release of her debut album, the singer began to receive praise and recognition. With her multiple Grammy wins as an African-American female musician, Cole made history. Despite a slight decline in the second decade of her musical career, she quickly rebounded and continued to release award-winning, high-status music.

Natalie Maria Cole was a talented singer, songwriter, and actress who was best known for her contributions to the soul, pop, and R&B genres. 6 February 1950 she was born in Los Angeles, California. Soon after graduation in 1972, Cole began performing in small live music clubs with her band, Black Magic. In 1975, she recorded and released her debut album, “Inseparable,” under Capitol Records.
