Pigeon John Biography: Pigeon John, whose given name is John Kenneth Dunkin, is an American rapper. John previously performed with the Los Angeles Symphony. Pigeon John stated that a friend’s mother provided him with his stage identity. He clarified that an associate had suggested that he take on the stage name “Chicken John” because he was at a loss for one. Pigeon John was properly named “Pigeon John,” the friend’s mother interjected because he looked more like a pigeon than a chicken.

Brainwash Projects was the moniker that Pigeon John and his friend B-Twice gave to their hip-hop duo in the early 1990s. “The Rise and Fall of Brainwash Projects” was the title of the duo’s album. On his debut solo album, “Is Clueless,” Pigeon John recorded several compositions in the late 1990s. The Telephone Company initially released the album in 2001. Thereafter, in 2002, it was re-released, featuring three additional tracks and revised artwork.

Pigeon John entered into a recording agreement with Basement Records in 2003, and his album “Is Dating Your Sister?” was released. It was two years before he issued an additional album entitled “Sing the Blues.” Pigeon John’s abilities impressed fellow rapper Lyrics Born, who witnessed him on the Cali Comm Tour that same year. Following that, Lyrics Born transferred Pigeon John to Quannum Projects. Nestle Crunch advertisements featured the Pigeon John single ‘Deception’ towards the close of the year.

Pigeon John issued “And The Summertime Pool Party,” his fourth studio album, through Quannum Projects in 2006. “Vibe” and “L.A. Weekly” magazines were among the publications that praised the album for its commercial success. Pigeon John, with the assistance of General Elektriks’ Herve Salters, published an additional album called “Dragon Slayer” in 2010. Cartoon Network used the song “The Bomb,” which is from this album, to promote the premiere of its live-action television movie “Level Up.”@X
