Although “Lucky Day” and “Clothes Drop,” his two subsequent albums, failed to achieve the same level of success as “Hot Shot,” his notoriety persisted and he was invited to perform more live shows. Shaggy went on to engage in considerable collaborative endeavors. Shaggy and everyone else commemorated the album “Hot Shot”‘s” 20th anniversary in 2000 by publishing an updated version of the disc titled “Hot Shot 2020.” A rendition of ‘It Wasn’t Me,’ which features Rayvon, is included.

Over the course of his eventful and captivating career, Shaggy has received seven Grammy Award nominations. With ‘Boombastic’ in 1996 and ’44/876′ in 2019, he has won two Grammys for Best Reggae Album. In 2002, he was also honored with the Brit Award for International Male Solo Artist. Shaggy has amassed an extensive resume of accomplishments, which includes receiving an honorary doctorate in fine arts from Brown University in May 2022.
