Sreenath Bhasi Biography: Sreenath Bhasi is an Indian model, film actor, and playback singer who began his career as a radio jockey on Red FM 93.5 before going on to appear in a number of Malayalam films. The actor, who was also a VJ, is best known for his roles in films such as 22 Female Kottayam (2012), Ustad Hotel (2012), Honey Bee (2013), and Jacobinte Swargarajaam (2016).
Born in Kochi in 1988, Sreenath currently resides in Vypin. He received his education from MG University. In college, he was a member of the alternative metal band Crimson Wood. He is the lead vocalist for a Keralan experimental ensemble. Additionally, he sings with his brother’s ensemble, Two Decades and After.
Under the supervision of Blessy, Sreenath began his film career in 2011 with the Malayalam romantic drama Pranayam. Mathews, portrayed by Mohanlal, falls in love with Grace, portrayed by Jaya Prada, and Achutha Menon, portrayed by Anupam Kher. Sreenath performed a supporting role in the critically acclaimed and commercially successful film. He then continued with minor roles in the 2012 film 22 Female Kottayam starring Rima Kallingal and Fahadh Faasil, followed by Shyamaprasad’s Arike starring Dileep, Samvrutha Sunil, and Mamta Mohandas. Sreenath was next seen as a band member in the 2012 box office success Ustad Hotel starring Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen, and later appeared in a small role in director Lal Jose’s Ayalum Njanum Thammil. After a number of supporting roles, Sreenath was cast as the protagonist in the same year’s romantic comedy Da Thadiya, opposite Sekhar Menon and Ann Augustine.
In 2013, he appeared as one of the main characters in Jean Paul Lal’s comedy-thriller film Honey Bee. Sreenath portrayed a friend of Sebastian (Asif Ali) and Angel (Bhavana), two lovers who flee away but later struggle to survive. Following this, he starred as Fahadh Faasil’s sibling in the road movie North 24 Kaatham. The film garnered the National Film Award for Best Malayalam Feature Film, and critics praised its innovative concept.
In 2014, Sreenath made her debut in the political satire Masala Republic, starring alongside Indrajith and Aparna Nair. Later, he was selected as the leading bachelor in the comedy film Beware of Dogs. He appeared in three films the following year: KL 10 Patthu, Rasputin, and Rani Padmini. Sreenath played a supporting role in the film KL 10 Patthu.
On September 23, 2022, Kerala Police charged actor Sreenath Bhasi with allegedly harassing a YouTube channel anchor. During a live interview with Red FM on the same day, Bhasi verbally assaulted a Malayalam journalist. Sreenath bhasi was taken into custody on 26 September 2022 for interrogation in the verbal abuse case.
