Steve Aoki Biography: Steven Hiroyuki Aoki was born in Miami, Florida, on November 30, 1977. His childhood took place in Newport Beach, California. His mother is identified as Chizuru Kobayashi, while his father, the restaurateur and wrestler Hiroaki Aoki, is his biological father. With a sister named Kana and a brother named Kevin, he is the smallest of three siblings.

Early in his academic career, Aoki attended Newport Harbor High School. 1995 marked his graduation from the institution. At that time, he was a student at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he earned two bachelor of arts degrees: one in sociology and the other in feminist studies.
