Steven Tyler Birthday
Steven Victor Tallarico was born on March 26, 1948, at the Stuyvesant Polyclinic in Manhattan, New York, to Susan Ray, a secretary, and Victor A. Tallarico, a music teacher at Cardinal Spellman High School in The Bronx. His family moved to the Bronx when he was three years old, and to 100 Pembrook Drive in Northeast Yonkers when he was nine. Tyler also has an older sibling named Lynda.
In his early years, he attended Roosevelt High School on Tuckahoe Road in Yonkers, New York, from which he was expelled for using marijuana. He graduated from Quintano’s School for Young Professionals in the end.
Tyler was initially inspired to begin performing rock and roll after attending a Rolling Stones concert at the age of 17. Regarding the concert, he comments, “Everyone said I resembled Mick Jagger, and Keith Richards was the artist whose music I used to adore the most.”
Tyler and several of his friends decided to join a band in 1970. Tyler, who played percussion in high school, insisted on being the band’s lead singer. He recruited his old companions Joey Kramer, who would play drums, and Ray Tabano, who would play rhythm guitar, to join the band. In the autumn of 1970, Aerosmith relocated to Boston, into a tiny shared apartment in Aliston, after forming. Shortly after the band’s relocation to Boston, Tyler began to have issues with Tabano’s lack of interest and commitment to the band, and ultimately replaced him with Brad Whitford. Tyler and Kramer worked together to organise Aerosmith’s performances and engagements.
In the 1970s, Aerosmith’s live performances were enormously popular, as evidenced by the band’s appearances on “Live! Bootleg” and the 1989 V.H.S. release “Live Texxas Jam ’78.”
Tyler made his acting début alongside his bandmates in the 1978 film Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, playing the Future Villain Band. This also inspired their cover of the renowned Beatles song “Come Together,” which spent nine consecutive years in the top 40.
