Early Years

The actress was born in Ontario, Canada, to a Punjabi family on May 13, 1981. Her mother was from Himachal Pradesh and her father was born in Tibet and raised in Delhi. Born Karenjit Kaur Vohra, Sunny adopted the stage moniker ‘Sunny Leone’ before entering the adult entertainment industry. Sunny’s parents believed it would be hazardous for her to attend a public school, despite the fact that she hailed from a traditional Sikh family.
