Traci Young-Byron Biography: Traci Young-Byron, who was born in Miami, Florida, on November 23, 1979, was scarcely an adult when she began dancing. She commenced her membership in the Inner City Children’s Touring Dance Company at the tender age of three. In pursuit of her dance career, she subsequently transferred to South Miami Middle School and subsequently to the Performing and Visual Arts Center at Miami Northwestern Senior High School. She received her dance degree from Florida State University in 1997 and was subsequently accepted into the Alvin Summer Intensive in New York.

Byron graduated from Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.’s Kappa Epsilon Chapter in 2000 and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance in 2001. After demonstrating an exceptional portfolio, Byron was invited to join the Miami Heat dance group, where she performed for a duration of nine years. Byron established the Young Contemporary Dance Theater (Y.C.D.T.) in 2004. She was appointed Artistic Director of both the P.A.V.A.C. Dance program and the Golden Girls Dance Team in 2008.

Byron established her competitive team, Y.C.D.T. SupaStarz, in 2013. Hip-Hop ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz, Caribbean, and West African styles are all taught at the studio. The SupaStarz competition team consists of performers between the ages of 13 and 18. Byron gained her own television series, “Set It Up Methods,” in which she demonstrates all of her abilities and displays her competitive nature.
