He founded Laugh-O-Gram as an animation cartoon firm and hired buddies like Ub Iwerks. After two years in animation, Laugh-O-Gram was struggling. Disney and his older brother Roy created the Disney Brothers Studio in Hollywood. Disney recruited some of his previous employees to his new company in Los Angeles.

At Disney Brothers Studio, Disney brought to life his most essential characters and films, which touched thousands of lives and opened new possibilities to animation. Walt Disney’s first great creation was Mickey Mouse. Disney Brothers Studio became a global powerhouse. In 1966, Disney died of lung cancer. The millions of lives he touched through his films and characters continue on.
