Bank, SSC, UPSC Exam Tips: The section of questions related to Reasoning is an important part of the Bank Exam, SSC Exam, UPSC Exam, and many other competitive exams. These are referred to as scoring questions. In such a case, if the candidate properly prepares for Reasoning ahead of time, his or her performance in the competition can be improved.

Improve your reasoning abilities

Logical reasoning is useful in the workplace on many levels. Above all, many entrance exams, including JEE, CAT, and UPSC, have a separate section on Logical Reasoning. This includes puzzle format, blood relation, coding-decoding, direction knowledge, and sitting arrangement questions. There are also sequence questions.

It is a meta-skill.

Meta skills include logical reasoning, critical thinking, and problem solving. These boost a person’s intelligence and analytical abilities. Business managers, engineers, management, and executives excel at logical reasoning.

Time management and practise

There cannot be a single rule to solve logical reasoning questions due to their variable nature. That is why it is critical to prepare for a variety of such questions on a daily basis. Keeping the time limit in mind, one should gradually increase the speed at which problems are solved per minute. For three months, practise these types of questions daily for at least one hour. You’ll get the hang of it.

Here are some pointers to help you prepare for and answer Logical Reasoning questions in competitive exams.

Practice more logical reasoning questions, puzzles, pattern tests, coding, decoding, and so on.

For a few seconds, read the question carefully and make clear in your mind the what and why hidden in the question. This process must be practised on a daily basis.

Never rely on guesswork to infer information that is not stated in the question. Candidates make such assumptions, particularly in blood relation questions, and then draw incorrect conclusions.

Read each section of the question thoroughly.

Pay attention to words like ‘all,”some,’ and ‘no one’ if it is a verbal question.

Remove answers that are easily misunderstood at first glance. There will be fewer options for comparison in such a case.
Do not assume that questions of the same pattern will not be repeated in the exam. The Feature Desk.
