Ensuring transparency, the Bihar State Teachers Eligibility Test (STET) or Bihar STET 2020 re-examination is all set to be conducted online.
While the state education department will rope in the Bihar state electronics development corporation limited (Beltron) tofacilitate the re-examination of state teachers’ eligibility test (STET) online, Secondary education director Giriwar Dayal Singh on Friday evening reportedly gave his nod to the proposal sent by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB)for assigning Beltron’s capabilities for conducting the cancelled exam. A total of 2.47 lakh candidates appeared for the Bihar STET Exam 2020 held across 317 centres on January 28.
The exam was cancelled by the BSEB Bihar Board after the inquiry committee, consisting of four members including BSEB Chief Monitoring Officer Neelkamal, Joint Secretary Nikunj Prakash Narayan, Monitoring Officer Rajiv Kumar and Officer Sanjay Priyadarshi, submitted its report justifying cheating in the exam.
It might be mentioned that STET exam was held aftera gap of eight years for recruitment of higher and higher secondary schools teachers.
When Bihar STET 2020 re-examination will be conducted?
BSEB will soon announce the Bihar STET 2020 re-examination dates soon at biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in or bsebstet2019.in.
According to education department, the re-examination is likely to be held in August or September this year. Candidates who had registered for the exam will have to reappear. They should keep in mind that they are not required to apply again or pay the exam fee for appearing in the re-exam. About Bihar STET The board will conduct the Bihar STET 2020 re-examination.
The board will conduct the exam on the prescribed exam centers on the decided exam date. For latest updates, candidates are advised to keep tab on the website – biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in or bsebstet2019.in.
