Bihar STET 2024 to be conducted twice a year: reports

Recent reports state that the Bihar STET 2024 will be given twice a year.

Bihar STET 2024: On October 3, the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) released the results of the State Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2023. September 4, 2023, and September 15, 2023 were the dates of the Bihar STET 2023 exam. Candidates need not worry if they were unable to appear for the Bihar STET 2023 exam. The Bihar STET 2024 exam announcement is expected to be made available in December of this year, as per News18 Hindi. According to reports, by December 15, 2023, the board might announce the Bihar STET 2024. The board hasn’t yet made an official statement on the matter, though.

Candidates can download the notification from the official website at bsebstet.com as soon as it is issued. Additionally, candidates must complete application forms in person at the main website.

Candidates vying for posts as Secondary (Class 9–10) and Higher Secondary (Class 11–12) teachers must pass the Bihar Secondary Teachers Eligibility Test (STET), which is administered by the BSEB. Those who pass the Bihar STET 2023 may apply for teaching positions in the state’s educational institutions. This test is intended for those who want to teach in grades 9 through 12. Additionally, there are two shifts for the recruitment exam: morning and afternoon.

Bihar STET 2024 Will Take Place Twice Annually

Recent reports state that the Bihar STET 2024 will be given twice a year. Only three STETs have been conducted in Bihar over the previous 13 years. The first one was held in 2011. Following that, the test was supposed to take place in 2019, however it was postponed to 2020 because of a paper leak. The third STET will take place in 2023. According to reports, STET will now take place twice a year, as directed by the Bihar Education Department.

Age Limit

The minimum age requirement for Bihar STET 2024 should be eighteen. Depending on the category, there are different maximum age restrictions. Candidates for general categories must be 37 years old; candidates for SC/ST categories must be 42 years old; candidates for BC/EBC categories must be 40 years old.

Educational Qualifications

To be hired as teachers in Bihar’s elementary schools, candidates must possess a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) or a degree similar to it. However, to work as a teacher in Classes 9 and 10, one must have a B.Ed. and have graduated or be a post-graduate.
