BPSC 68th Prelims Exam Marking Scheme 2023 and minimum qualifying marks

BPSC 68th Prelims Exam Marking Scheme 2023: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) held the examination for various 324 posts such as Assistant Director, Rural Development Officer, Block Panchayat Raj, Supply Inspector, and so on today, February 12th, at 805 centres across the state.

In the BPSC 68th preliminary exam, candidates were asked questions from the General Studies (GS) paper. Please let us know how the exam went and what the scoring system was.

In the BPSC Prelims Exam, 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 150 marks each were asked from General Studies for a total of 150 marks. The exam was held offline from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in one shift.

The marking scheme will be as follows:

According to the BPSC marking scheme, each incorrect answer will receive one negative mark. For each correct answer, one mark will be deducted, and for each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. So, this year, passing the BPSC Prelims exam may be difficult.

– Negative marking will be applied even if candidates mark more than one answer on the answer sheet.

In this case, however, there will be no negative marking if the candidates do not attempt any answers.

This is the minimum qualifying marks in prelims

General Category – 40%

BC Category – 36.5%

OBC Category – 34%

Women/SC/ST/PWD Category – 32%

The candidates who will qualify the prelims exam will be given a chance to appear in the mains exam. As per the exam pattern of BPSC Mains, there will be four exam papers.

General Hindi – 100 Marks (Minimum Qualifying Marks – 30 Marks)

General Studies Paper 1 – 300 Marks

General Studies Paper 2 – 300 Marks

One optional subject – 300 marks

The duration of each paper in Mains will be of 3 hours. The questions in the Mains exam will be of descriptive essay type. Candidates can write answers in any one of the following languages ​​based on the preference indicated in the application.

– Hindi

– Urdu

– English

Minimum qualifying marks in mains

General Category – 40%

BC Category – 36.5%

OBC Category – 34%

Women/SC/ST/PWD Category – 32%

Candidates who clear the Mains stage will be called for Interview. Interview will be of 120 marks as per BPSC exam pattern.
