If you are a graduate and want to work for the government, explain that you cannot get a government job without first passing a competitive exam. We have compiled a list of competitive exams for which you can apply after graduation or while still in your final year of study.

1. Civil Service Examination (CSE) – Graduates of any stream can apply for this exam.

2. Indian Economic Service Examination- Students having graduation degree in Economics/Statistics can apply for this.

3. Indian Statistical Service Examination- Students having statics background can apply for this.

4. Combined Defense Service Examination (CDSE)- Candidate must have graduation degree from any recognized institute.

5. National Defense Academy and Naval Academy Examination- Candidate must have done graduation with Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics subjects from any recognized institute.

6. Combined Medical Service Examination- Candidate must have MBBS degree from any recognized institute.

7. Engineering Services Examination (IES)- Candidate must have degree in BE/B.Tech from any recognized institute.

8. Staff Selection Test for various Cadres- Candidates having graduation degree in any stream can apply.

9. EXAMINATION FOR VARIOUS POSTS THROUGH THE RESERVE BANK OF INDIA SERVICE BOARD- Candidates having graduation in any discipline can apply.

10. Examination for Development Officer and other posts through National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD)- Graduate can apply.

11. Examination for Telecom Officers in the Department of Telecommunication- Graduate candidates can apply.

12. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)- Engineering Graduates are eligible to apply for this exam.

13. Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED)-
Students who have taken graduation degree in BE/B.Tech/B.Arch can apply for this.

14. NIFT Entrance Exam- BFTech from NIFT or BE/B.Tech degree from any University.

15. Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) – Candidates must have graduation degree from a recognized university.
